Mr. Taro Aso is the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Minister of State for Financial Services in Japan. He previously served as Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications. In 1979, he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives, and has been elected 13 times since. He participated in the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games as an athlete of Japan (clay target shooting). He graduated from the Faculty of Politics and Economics at Gakushuin University. He was born in 1940. His birth place is in the Fukuoka Prefecture of Japan.

Mr. Endo has held various executive posts, including the Director-General of the Supervisory Bureau and Inspection Bureau, etc. When he was the Director-General of the Supervisory Bureau, he leads supervision of banks, broker-dealers, insurance companies and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan. As the Director-General of Inspection Bureau, he integrated the process of on-site inspection and off-site monitoring in effective manner.
Prior to his posting to the FSA, Mr. Endo worked for the Asian Pacific Department and the Finance Department of the International Monetary Fund. Mr. Endo received a M.Sc. in Economics from London School of Economics (LSE) in 1986.

Mr. Oshima is an experienced international banker and has spent 18 years working in London, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Since joining the bank in 1984, he has been responsible for many aspects of SMBC Group’s business, including large corporates in both international and domestic markets, mid-cap corporates, debt and equity capital markets and transaction banking. As GM of Investor Relations, Mr. Oshima led capital raising efforts during Japan’s financial crisis, and managed the Americas business as GM of Planning Department, Americas Division before and after the Lehman Brothers crisis. Over the ensuing years, Mr. Oshima was assigned as Senior Managing Director responsible for corporate planning as well as Head of EMEA and CEO of SMBC Europe. Mr. Oshima also has significant experience in strategic planning, IR, regulatory compliance, governance and IT.

Dr. Shin'ichiro Matsuo is a scientist in cryptography and information security. At Georgetown University, he is a director of CyberSMART research center and a lead of blockchain technology and ecosystem design. He is an acting co-chair of Blockchain Governance Initiative Network (BGIN).
He also leads international research collaborations on Blockchain as a co-founder of the BSafe.network, a global and neutral research test network for Blockchain technology. He is a part of many program committees on Blockchain technology and information security at IEEE S&B, ACM, W3C, CBT, SSR and others, and was a program co-chair of Scaling Bitcoin 2018.
